Karen Sheehan is an experienced civil litigation attorney who focuses her practice on employment law, insurance defense, and medical malpractice defense. She also has extensive bankruptcy and corporate law experience.
Prior to joining Gjording Fouser, Karen was an attorney at a Boise-based firm where she developed a legal practice in the areas of civil litigation, bankruptcy, and employment law. She previously worked for the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office.
Before relocating to Boise in 2005, Karen held a senior attorney position with the law firm of Lee & McShane, PC in downtown Washington, D.C. During her five years with the firm, she specialized in employment and business law along with civil litigation. Karen is admitted to practice in Idaho, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

She won first place for grooming with her sheltie, Timpken, at the Westmoreland County Fair when she was in 5th grade. She beat out all of the adults!
When she lived in Washington, D.C., she was a mystery restaurant critic. She was hired by restaurant owners to critique the service and food quality. Her pay – appetizers, dinner and dessert for two.
She has been the captain of more than 20 tennis league teams, which is practically a full-time job since she has to make sure each player gets to play the same number of matches, pair up the players for every match, and most importantly, make sure everyone brings the required post-match snacks and drinks!
