Jennifer L. Swajkoski - Attorney

Jennifer L. Swajkoski - Attorney
Jenny represents insurance companies, health care facilities and providers, and professionals in litigation ranging from personal injury to medical malpractice to professional malpractice.

Jenny also helps manage the firm’s litigation-based focus groups.  In this role, Jenny works with the firm’s trial teams to identify critical issues of the case to test in the focus group.  She then assists with organizing the focus group, which includes: jury recruitment, drafting presentations and arguments, analyzing focus group findings and putting together a comprehensive report and action plan for the client.

One of Jenny’s greatest strengths as a trial lawyer is her innate ability to develop meaningful interpersonal relationships with everyone with whom she works – from clients to experts to mediators to opposing counsel.  Her unbridled enthusiasm for every case she works on allows her to develop relationships and facilitate strategic discussions with experts, particularly medical professionals, over the course of a case.  This greatly benefits her clients because she is able to collaborate with the experts to prepare tactical and thorough disclosures that often lead to early resolution of a case.

Jenny’s prior litigation experience includes:

  • Completing a semester in practice at St. Luke’s Health System where she reviewed and updated policies and contracts to ensure compliance with new changes in the law, assisted with employment and medical malpractice cases in the pre-litigation phase, and analyzed evolving issues in healthcare including those related to Medicaid, Medicare and gaps in coverage, known as the doughnut hole.
  • Serving as a judicial extern for Chief Magistrate Judge Ronald E. Bush, U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. In this position, Jenny prepared bench memorandums and an order on summary judgment for a wrongful termination case.
  • Serving as a summer associate at Gjording Fouser where, among other things, she assisted in drafting a motion to dismiss for a client involved in a corporate negligence case in the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho.  The motion was granted and the claims were dismissed.
  • Jenny has been an assistant coach of the Boise High School girls’ varsity soccer team since 2013.  She is also a board member of Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) where she educates others about the organization, builds partnerships in the community, and assists with fundraising efforts.

Jenny is admitted to practice in Idaho.
